This one is the best ever, tastes lovely , creamy like buttter, It spreads well, melts like butter. Great for cooking. love it. the only problem is not enough places sell it yet.
Not a vegan or a vegetarian but these sausages are delicious, slightly more expensive than they perhaps need to be but its a treat to eat sausages that dont contain hidden and unexpected gristly bits so Im happy to pay the extra for no nasties.! I highly recommend!
Melt the vegan butter and put the milk on the fire until it becomes warm.
Rub the yeast with a tablespoon of sugar, put 2 tablespoons of soy milk, 1 tablespoon of flour, mix well and leave for 10 minutes away from the current.
In a bigger bowl add the flour.
Over add the sugar, melted vegan butter, salt powder, yeast, grated lemon peel and mix lightly by hand.
Gradually pour the milk, knead until you get a homogeneous dough, elastic and easy to work.
Cover it with a clean towel and leave it to rise for about 1 hour, but in a warm place.
Cream:
In a bowl mix the starch, sugar, vanilla bean seeds and 6-7 tablespoons of soy milk.
Bring the rest of the milk to the boil and when it boils, add the starch mixture.
Let it simmer until it thickens like a pudding, during which time we stir continuously.
Cover with a cream foil until cool, then incorporate the cherries.
Pour the leavened dough on the clean work table and divide it into nine equal pieces.
We spread the first sheet in an oval shape, and along the length, we put the filling at the bottom, and we cut the other half into strips.
We come a little with the sides over the cream, then roll. We do the same with everything.
Grease a tray with butter, line it with baking paper and place the Parisians.
Let them rise for another 10 minutes in the tray, then put them in the hot oven, at 180 degree temperature until they turn brown.
When they are ready, take them out of the oven, mix in a cup 4-5 tablespoons of water, 1/2 tablespoon of powdered sugar, a few drops of oil and with this mixture we grease them.
Let them cool, powder them with sugar then put them in a bowl and cover.
